Tim McDermott wasn't far behind, and after starting the day second in chips, he eliminated WPT Commentator and Champions Club member Tony Dunst in 13th place to lead the final 11 players at the dinner break.
Each player was guaranteed $72,410 at this point, with Poker Hall of Famer Scotty Nguyen the first eliminated after dinner at the hands of Kyna England. This meant England lead the final nine players who were redrawn around a single table.
