The final two starting days of the 2019 888poker LIVE Sochi Main Event were held in a turbo format of 25 minutes and 15 minutes per level respectively. Day 1d kicked off at 8 p.m. local time the previous evening and saw a field of 77 entries emerge, of which 48 players bagged up chips for Day 2. The final flight then got underway at 10 a.m. and 59 entries boosted the field further, only 44 players secured their seat for Day 2.
With all five starting days completed, the first-ever 888poker LIVE event in Russia in cooperation with Poker Club Management and Casino Sochi has created a field of 454 entries for the 62,160 RUB (~ $888) buy-in and at least 229 players are in contention for the guaranteed prize pool of 35,000,000 RUB (~ $500,000).
Italy's Luca Esposito claimed the honors of Day 1d chip leader with a healthy stack of 252,000, other notables among the survivors were Oleg Egorov (173,600), Artem Metelskiy (153,500), Firudin Nasirov (83,700), and Nikolay Evdokimov (33,400).
Day 1e chip leader is Berkan Acarman (pictured) with 155,500, who narrowly beat Aleksey Savenkov (148,200) for the top spot. Sergey Kudryavtsev made a late charge for the lead when his 
beat the acre-king of Giorgiy Skhulukhiya in a preflop all in. Ruslan Mityaev made it through as well and bagged up 95,600, he is joined by 888poker qualifier Manuel Torrents Avalos (80,600), Aleksandr Kuzmin (51,700), Dmitry Vitkind (48,000), Sergey Pichugin (40,600) and Aleksey Istomin (40,000).
All 44 survivors of Day 1e will have just a short break before heading into Day 2 as of 1.30 p.m. local time.
