Perez then bet 850,000 and Simpson again called. Both players checked the 4♣ river and Simpson showed 6♣3♣ for sixes and fours. Perez mucked J♦7♣ and Simpson took down the big pot to draw level with Alvaro Murciano atop the leaderboard.
After the hand, a tournament official came to the table and made Simpson put in his last time bank card, much to his vocal disagreement.
