Play has now finished for the day and of the 102 survivors it is Julian Herold who is the chip leader with 138,425 at the end of seven levels.
Several former winners remain in the field, Kent Lundmark, Rupert Elder, David Vamplew, Mats Gavatin and Roberto Romanello - all making it through to Day 2 on Thursday where they will also be joined by Steve O'Dwyer, Paul Berende and PokerStars Greek Challenger Georgios Kapalas. Kenny Hallaert, Chris Moorman, Brynn Kenney and PokerStars Team Pro Ana Marquez also made it into the second day ensuring much star power remains in this competition.
Those who'll be having a holiday for the rest of week will include, Brandon Cantu, Fernando Brito as well as Team Pros Richard Toth and Martin Horecki.
Tomorrow, we'll be expecting an even larger field than today that will include Johnny Lodden, Eugene Katchalov and Kevin MacPhee - all looking to do battle and become the first ever EPT Loutraki champion!
We'll be restarting here at 12pm so don't miss out!
Players are playing three more hands and then we're done for the day.
Oh dear, that's not the way Dominik Nitsche would've wanted to finish the tournament today.
They had been a raise to 1,300 with Theofanis Poziopoylos flat-calling before Nitsche moved all in from the button for 11,775. The initial raiser folded but Poziopoylos asked for a count before deciding to make the call.
Poziopoylos:
Nitsche:
Poziopoylos flopped the world when it came and then when the came on the turn followed by the on the river, the young German was eliminated.
Shocked, Nitsche stood there for several minutes saying, "Did that really just happened?"

Miroslav Rizov has doubled up - he was holding on a flop - pretty good but he was up against the drawtacular hand of Ignat Liviu. The turn and the river were both fives, coming and and Rizov doubled up to about 35,000. Liviu still has around his starting stack.
