Benjamin Chalot

Blinds 175,000-350,000

Alexandros Kolonias opened to 770,000 and Benjamin "Geraaaard" Chalot three-bet to 2,030,000 with 701,592 behind. Thomas Muehloecker then clicked it up to 3,465,000 out of the small blind and Kolonias reluctantly folded, Chalot called it off.

Benjamin "Geraaaard" Chalot: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Thomas Muehloecker: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and that spelled the end for Chalot in 8th place.

Updated Counts on the Break

Blinds 175,000-350,000

In the final hand before the break, the two shortest stacks clashed in a bigger pot.

Javier Gomez opened to 700,000 and Benjamin "Geraaaard" Chalot defended the big blind to a {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop. Chalot check-raised from 385,000 to 980,000 and earned a call from Gomez to then lead the {9-Hearts} turn for 1,067,500. Gomez reluctantly called and the {j-Diamonds} river was checked by both.

Chalot tabled {k-Spades}{10-Hearts} but Gomez had that beat with {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

Pillai Takes the Lead in Very Long Hand

Three-Way pot for Pillai
Three-Way pot for Pillai

Blinds 150,000-300,000

Sebastian "Weizen" Gaehl raised to 600,000 and was called by Krasimir Yankov in the small blind and Shankar Pillai in the big blind. They checked the {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop to Gaehl, who continued for 1,050,000 and picked up two calls.

Two checks followed on the {2-Spades} turn and Gaehl now bet 3,540,000 into 5,410,000. Yankov dipped into his time bank and made the call after plenty of consideration. Pillai also went into the tank for more than two minutes and called.

The {8-Spades} fell on the river and all three players checked. Yankov tabled the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} for top pair and top kicker, Gaehl had the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and Pillai jumped into the top spot with {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for a set.
