Day 2 Completed
The partypoker LIVE Grand Prix Austria €115 Main Event in Vienna has turned out to be another hugely successful stop on the tour, not only meeting but smashing the €500,000 guarantee.
Day 2 began with 278 hopefuls returning from the 2,794 total entrants who participated in all of the live opening days in the Montesino Casino. By the end of the day, however, only 24 players remained. They will be joined tomorrow by the players who made it through all 14 levels in Day 2b that took place at CCC Simmering.
The top two chip stacks heading into the final day are within a single chip of one another. Rene Wolech leads the way with 10,875,000 chips, followed very closely by Harald Heigl who takes through 10,750,000 chips. Both players are representing the home nation of Austria.
Everyone who made Day 2 had already been paid out the €250 min-cash, with all players who made Day 3 picking up an additional €1,100. Tomorrow will see the remaining few players drawn onto new tables, with someone guaranteed to walk away with the trophy!
The Main Event will resume tomorrow at 1 pm local time, with the PokerNews Live Reporting Team on hand to bring you all of the action, right down until we crown a winner!

With just three hands left to play, Christian Georgescu moved all-in for his last 2,050,000 chips from middle position. He was met with an instant, "call," from Wolfgang Reither, who tossed in a single 100,000-value chip. The rest of the table folded very quickly, fearing the immediate call, and the cards were on their backs.
Georgescu turned over and was in bad shape versus Reither's . As the flop came down, Georgescu stood up to leave, but managed to find the on the turn. The bricked the river, and the pot was shipped Georgescu's way.

Gunther the tournament director stopped the tournament clock and announced that five more hands had to be played before players can bag their chips.
Nico Montani raised to 625,000 from early position and action folded to Levente Muszi in the big blind. Muszi asked how much Montani still had. Montani pushed his chips forward for Muszi to see. Muszi asked for a count but the dealer wasn't allowed to. The rest of the table explained the rule so Muszi had to try and count it himself. After an attempt to count it, Muszi shoved all in. Montani called.

Levente Muszi:
The board ran out - Montani hit a king on the flop and doubled up.
