The table of fun, entertainment, and a fair bit of straight up craziness just saw three epic hands to close out the night.
First, Martin McCormick, having just returned from his one-round penalty, raised under the gun to 15,000 and Renaud Desferet three-bet to 45,000. Fedor Holz made the call after which the small blind called as well, and McCormick went into the tank.
"I don't think I can call here," he said, before folding.
The flop brought out and the action checked to Holz, who bet 50,000, and only Desferet made the call. On the turn the hit and Desferet check-called 83,000. The river was the and after Desferet checked again, Holz looked over at his opponent before checking, and Desferet showed .
"That's fantastic," Holz said, looking annoyed with the showdown.
McCormick referenced to the fact that Desferet had a really strong hand, and Holz sighed, "I had a better hand than he had," implying he had pocket aces.
On the very next hand Ramin Hajiyev moved all in for his last 74,000 chips and McCormick counted out the call using just yellow T1,000 chips, before pushing the giant pile forward.
Hajiyev:
McCormick:
The board ran out and Hajiyev found himself a double up.
Just when everyone thought the dust was going to settle down, another big hand happened between Hajiyev and McCormick. Hajiyev and McCormick had been going at it for hours, and finally the former got the better of the latter in a big pot.
McCormick and Hajiyev were heads up again and looking at a board of . Hajiyev had placed a bet of 21,000 to lead on the turn. McCormick raised to 65,000 and didn’t want to give Hajiyev anytime to make his decision before calling the clock.
On a previous hand, Hajiyev had called the clock on McCormick and it led to him getting a one round penalty for berating Hajiyev afterward. McCormick was insisting that the clock be called on Hajiyev, but the floor let him know it hadn’t been long enough.
Eventually the floor called the clock and shortly after that Hajiyev shoved all in for 80,000 more. McCormick snap called. Hajiyev showed .
“You’re good,” said McCormick showinng for a pair of sevens.
The on the river didn’t change anything and McCormick doubled Hajiyev again.

Felipe Ramos drew the lucky card to determine the last few hands of the day, and the players will play three more at each table.
The PCA staff are introducing the 25,000 green chips, and it seems they started to do so because Leonardo Pires is having trouble reaching around his stack. He is over 2-million chips and is rolling since finishing Day 1b as the chip leader with 540,000.
On this hand, the chips went away from Pires, but it was like a scratch compared to the chips he has left.
Fabian Ortiz raised to 13,000 and Pires called from the button. David Cairns called from the big blind. The flop came and Ortiz took down the pot with a flop bet of 23,000.

Martin McCormick was just issued a one-round penalty for taking things a little too far at the table. Here's what happened.
McCormick had raised to 13,000 from middle position, and Renaud Desferet reraised from the hijack seat to 38,000. Play folded back to McCormick, and he called to see the flop.
"How much you playing?" McCormick asked Desferet. "You want to play for it all?"
McCormick chatted a bit more to Desferet, taking his time, then smacked the table for a check. Desferet slid out 25,000, and McCormick quickly called.
The turn was the to pair the board, and McCormick checked again. Desferet bet 70,000, and this sent McCormick into the tank. He began talking about how he had a pair and a straight draw. He also tried to ask Fedor Holz, who was at the opposite end of the table, what he would do.
"I'm clueless," responded Holz.
McCormick then turned almost a complete one-eighty in his chair and was facing the other direction. Some thought he might be looking at a tournament clock to gauge the point in the event the field was at, but there was no clock in the direction he was facing. Then, from the seat to the left of Desferet, Ramin Hajiyev asked for the clock.
Not too much time had passed, maybe a little more than a minute at most, and this upset McCormick.
"Who called the clock?" he asked. "You did?"
The floor was called and informed Hajiyev he couldn't call the clock just yet. Even so, McCormick was visibly upset with Hajiyev and began directing his words towards him.
At one point he scolded Hajiyev with, "You're a f***ing idiot!"
Eventually, McCormick folded his hand. As Desferet was pulling in the chips, McCormick stood up from the table (he was sat in Seat 2) and moved around towards Hajiyev's seat. With a quick motion of his right hand, McCormick nudged Hajiyev on the shoulder and yelled at him once more about calling the clock. McCormick then turned around and left the room. Hajiyev sat there with his arms open looking at the dealer and the floor for a response to what had just happened.
The staff that heard and saw the incident issued McCormick a one-round penalty upon his return. They also removed his beverage from the table and instructed the staff that McCormick was cut off from any more drinks. When McCormick heard the news, he shook his head, stood back up from his chair, and left the room once again.

Farid Jattin just raised under the gun to 13,000 and Brandon Crawford called in position after which Asher Conniff called from the big blind. The flop brought out and Jattin bet 20,000 after Conniff had checked.
Crawford raised it up to 40,000 and Conniff quickly folded, after which Jattin called.
The turn was the and Jattin check-called a bet of 35,000.
The river was the and Jattin checked again. Crawford tanked for a bit before sliding out 101,000, and Jattin seemed quite frustrated with the size of the bet.
After a long period of tanking, during which Steve O'Dwyer busted on the adjacent table, Jattin folded and Crawford raked in the pot.

Martin McCormick has been one of the most talkative players of the tournament. He says he qualified for the Main Event with for $27.
"This is amazing," he said, "Fedor Holz, I watched you playing live in the Philippines and now I'm here playing with you. It's surreal."
McCormick is routinely being reminded by the dealer that the action is to him. On this hand the action was on him, the dealer let him know, and he called.
The dealer and another player told him to put his chips in to call, so he paused his conversation and put the 14,000 in. His opponent on this hand was Renaud Desferet. McCormick was first to act and checked the flop.
"Don't do it," he said to Desferet, "Ive got it. I'm going to call whatever you bet."
Desferet bet 17,000 and McCormick quickly called. The turn was the and both players checked. When the hit the river, McCormick bet 35,000.
"I've won this hand," said McCormick and Desferet folded.
"I talked you out of losing," he said, "I don't want anyone to bust, I just want everyone to have a good time." McCormick stacked his chips and is sitting at over 600,000.
