The second out of four starting days of the €225+€25 PokerNews Cup at the King's Casino in Rozvadov attracted a field of 191 entries, which includes 29 reentries and boosted the overall field thus far to 347. After 14 levels of 30 minutes each, just 43 participants bagged up chips. It was an open race towards the end of the night for the lead, and ultimately it was Austria's Reinhard Foidl who accumulated the most with 350,000.
Foidl is followed by Spain's Francisco Arce (335,000), who is now calling Vienna his home and came over with two friends, and Josef Mestl (321,500) completes the overnight podium. Sebastian Langrock also claimed a big stack with 302,000 and the German said that he likes the event because if offers a better structure for Day 1 than most of the low-budget tournaments. Furthermore, the guarantee in combination with an affordable buy-in makes creates a lot of action at the tables and the mix of different player types adds to the fun experience.
Othes that made it through on Day 1b include Calin Furdui (229,000), Karol Janiszewski (183,000), and Konstantin Kostyakov (60,500). Patrick Wolff and Pavel Novotny played twice to no avail while other notables such as Petr Targa, Marek Bartoszewicz, Anna Yamshchikova, Aleksei Ivanov and Thomas Zurek were also sent to the rail.
A total of 15 players won their package through TonyBet and one of them is Paulius Vaitiekünas, who won the trip after starting in the step system for just 50 Cents. Asked why so many Lithunanian made it to Rozvadov, Vaitiekünas said the following: "I was in my Sunday session and friends told me to play the Satellites on TonyBet, because there was so much overlay. I won the first step, then got into the next one and the Super Satellite had five packages guaranteed. Only two won the package, but we came over here with eight, because you got the nice hotel room included. And well, you know, Lithuanians love poker." Vaitiekünas will be back for Day 2 on Sunday after bagging up 91,000.
Curtis Millinghton was also among today's participants and he is hailing from the UK, but currently works in Prague and noticed the event on social media. "I actually saw it on the PokerNews Twitter. It seemed really nice and the affordable buy-in with such a guarantee is great. I play quite a bit of poker anyways and stay until Monday." Millinghton didn't bag in the Main Event, but headed straight to the €90+€10 Ticket & Ca$h Side Event that attracted a total of 190 entries.
Tomorrow will the two remaining flights of the Main Event on the schedule: Day 1c gets underway as of 1 p.m. local time and Day 1d starts at 5 p.m., furthermore the €90+€10 King's Local Championship with a guarantee of €20,000 provides levels of 30 minutes and a starting stack of 20,000 as of 7 p.m. at Europe's biggest card room.

The second of four starting days is over. According to the screens, less than 50 players remain and a recap of today's action as well as the full chip counts will be published shortly.
Francisco Arce doubled up at the end of the day still and Sebastian Langrock also scored a big knockout when he three-bet pocket kings out of the small blind and found two caller. On a flop, he continued for 22,500 and one opponent shoved for 70,000 with pocket jacks.
Other big stacks and notables can be found below. Reinhard Foidl appears to be the chip leader ahead of Arce and Josef Mestl.

In the penultimate hand of the night, a short stack got his last 40,000 in with out of the small blind and Vladimir Stejskal called from one seat over and flipped over the .

The action started with a raise to Juraj Sosovicka and the player from one seat over called. Ilia Karasin then moved all in for around 50,000 from the button and Calin Furdui reraised all in out of the big blind, forcing folds from Sosovicka and the cold-caller.
