PokerStars National Championship

While things are just getting going here in the €5,300 Main Event at PokerStars Championship Barcelona, they're winding down in the €1,100 National Championship, which drew the largest field in PokerStars Live history with 4,557 entries. Over 3,600 of those were unique entries as well, and the prize pool swelled to the point where first place is set to be awarded €575,000.

Given all that, PokerNews has decided to fire up some live coverage of the final table. Check out all of the updates here.

At 12:30 local time (in about 100 minutes), the unofficial final table of the €50,000 Super High Roller gets underway. The biggest buy-in tournament of the inaugural PokerStars Championship Barcelona kicks off with just 9 players remaining, all guaranteed €117,700 at this point after Isaac Haxton (11th, €103,200) and Dan Colman (10th, €103,200) both departed late last night.

The last table of the tournament, which attracted a field of 86 entries, consists of mostly Super High Roller regulars. Koray Aldemir leads with a massive 4,540,000 stack. PokerStars Team Pro Igor Kurganov follows with 4,170,000. Daniel Negreanu, arguably the most famous poker player in the world these days, brings 1,170,000 in chips. Blinds kick off at 30,000/60,000 with a 10,000-ante.
