Play is set to continue until 5 a.m. again here tonight with the Day 2b players chasing runaway chip leader Laurent Polito, who bagged up 806,000 in chips on Day 2a. That makes Polito the clear favorite going forward, but while he may feel good right now, there's still a lot of poker to be played.

A limp from under the gun from Alain Bauer led to seven players seeing a flop of . That was then checked around to Mohamed Aissani who bet 5,000 and got three callers.
The turn was the and that’s when the fireworks happened. El Mostafa Ederoua led out for 7,700 from the small blind and faced a raise to 18,000 from Bauer. Aissani made the call but then moved all in. Bauer moved all in too and a slightly stunned Aissani looked on in disbelief and slammed his face up to fold.
Ederoua tabled but was in bad shape against the of Bauer. The river was good enough for Bauer to score a big pot.

Marinel Oros started the day pretty short with 17,300 and he has just been eliminated. We got to the table to see him putting on his coat and his chips being pushed to Stephane Benadiba who had in front of him and a final board of .
