Day 1a of the World Series of Poker Circuit $1,700 Main Event at Ameristar Casino in St. Charles is in the books. The day attracted 156 entries and when the dust settled after 16 levels of play just 25 remained. Bagging the lead was HB Sablotney, who ended the night with 377,000. He was spotted early in the day collecting chips and gained a considerable amount as play progressed throughout the night.
Following close behind Sablotney was WPT champ Ravi Raghavan (374,000), who got 100,000 of that with the last elimination of the night. Rounding out the top fives stacks for the night include Zackary Estes (340,000), Jeffery Trudeau Jr. (303,000), and Edward 'EDUB' Dixon (293,000).
Also among the notable players to also find a bag were Nate Bandy (205,000), Kyle Cartwright (151,000), Gil George (119,000), Greg Wood (105,000) and Keven Stammen (75,000).
However, the majority of the field was unable to make it through such as Maurice Hawkins, Cory Borget, Vincent Moscati and Carlos Loving.

The tournament director has just told the dealers to deal the final five hands for the night.
It will be a hand-for-hand process as 26 players remain and play will stop once 25 players are reached or the last five hands are played out, which ever comes first.
Kyle Cartwright was all in under the gun for 75,000 and was called by Thomas Alcorn from the cutoff.

The flop was checked to the turn where McCracken moved all in and was called by Trudeau.

On a board that read , Jeremy Pekarek moved all in for his remaining stack and was called by Melissa Bryne holding less.

Bryne was behind but didn't have much of a sweat as the turn fell the giving her the flush and Pekarek sent over 37,000 to Bryne after the board completed with the river, leaving him with 14,000.
Not too long after, Pekarek would be eliminated from the tournament.

The flop fell and Sisler check-raised all in after Barnett fired out 6,000, Barnett called.
