Rami Hammoud Ends Day 1b of the Main Event as Chip Leader; Multiple Players Right on His Heels
The Second flight of Event #8: $1,700 No Limit Holdem Main Event at the World Series of Poker Circuit Playground has ended. A total of 562 players fired on Day 1b with 75 players finding a bag. After the dust settled, it was Rami Hammoud who held the chip lead. The Roxoboro native was cool, calm, and collected as he accumulated chips throughout the day. He now sits as the #1 stack going into Day 2 after edging out Khaly Dang, from Day 1a, by just 8,000 chips. Right on his heels are Xing He with 915,000 and Jimmy Setna with 914,000 to round out the top three.
Some other notables made the money and will advance to Day 2. Bracelet winner Bradley Smith (31,000) is short but has a ton of fight left for Day 2, WSOP Main Event Final Tablaist Griffin Benger (153,000) found a bag, and Bracelet winner Mike Leah (526,000) will be a force on Day 2 with a very above-average stack.

On Sunday, the players from the three Day 1 flights will be combined. They have all secured a minimum prize of $2,900 and will enter Day 2 already in the money. The first-place prize is yet to be announced, but the total guarantee for this event is a whopping $1,500,000, with $843,000 being added from this flight alone.
