Koray Aldemir is Amongs the Big Stacks After Day 1 in Event #64: $600 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack
Day 1 of Event #64: $600 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack, part of the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas has concluded, and the surviving players have bagged up their stacks. A total of 5,271 entrants created a total prize pool of $2,688,210, with the top 790 players being paid, earning a minimum cash of $1,200.
After the completion of 22 action-packed levels, only 283 players had chips requiring bagging and tagging. Nobody finished Day 1 with more chips than Samuel Summers, whose 1,750,000 stack puts him narrowly ahead of Jamie Robbins (1,700,000) and Shinya Nakajima (1,625,000).

The 2021 WSOP Main Event champion Koray Aldemir (1,245,000) is lurking just outside the top ten and looking to become the latest in a long line of Main Event champions who have added to their bracelet collection since capturing poker's biggest prize.
Joining Aldemir on Day 2 are stars such as Nick Guagenti (1,000,000), Justin Pechie (710,000), Lexy Gavin (670,000), and John Gorsuch (645,000).
During Level 18, the clock was paused with 14 minutes remaining and the action played out hand-for-hand until the money bubble burst. Once it popped, the subsequent eliminations came quickly, and more than 100 players busted within the next level.
Some of the notable entrants who fell before the day's end include Jessica Teusl, who left the tournament after Terry Fan cracked her queens; seven-time World Series of Poker Circuit ring winner Pamela Belote, Daniel Dealmeida, Nikki Limo and $25K Fantasy Draft players Ryan Riess and Scott Seiver.
All 283 players that made Day 2 will battle it out for the $289,323 top prize and a WSOP bracelet. Day 2 starts with the remaining 10 minutes of Level 22 with blinds of 10,000/25,000 and a 25,000 big blind ante.
