Event #75: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em
Day 2 Completed
It was a mad dash to the money as Day 2 has officially concluded in Event# 75: $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold’em at the 2024 World Series of Poker at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, and just 22 teams remain in contention for the $190,910 first-place prize and the coveted gold bracelet.
Day 1 started with 1,437 registered teams, creating a record prize pool of $1,264,560. Only 292 returned for the second day, and the money bubble burst during the third level of play. A min-cash was worth $2,004, and with only 22 teams returning for Day 3, each team is guaranteed a payday of $6,728.
Two teams crossed the three million chip mark, with Team Perez leading at 3,730,000. Team Hopkins is close behind with 3,305,000, and Team Hall rounds out the podium with 2,545,000.

Chips were flying early in the day with some notable players exiting the field, including Allen Kessler, Joe Cada, and Barbara Enright.
Big pots continued being the norm in the latter part of the night, especially around Team Hall. They found themselves winning a sizable pot through a backdoor straight. Shortly after, they doubled through quad fours to end the day on a high note.
Team Perez hit all the right cards when the event was down to only three tables. They were armed with a big stack and continued raking in pots. The first elimination after the three-table redraw was down to them as they won a coinflip with flopped trip aces.
Four more teams bowed out before time was called on Day 2. Team Francisco's short-stack shove with queen-six getting called by Team Hall's pocket eights, with those snowmen flopping a boat and leaving only 22 teams in the field.
Day 3 starts at 11 a.m. local time in the Horseshoe Event Center and will play down to a winner, so stay tuned. The PokerNews live reporting team will be back tomorrow to report on the tournament action.
