Day 1c Completed
On Saturday, the RunGood Poker Series Horseshoe Casino Council Bluffs $675 buy-in Main Event continued with two more starting flights. Day 1b attracted 166 entrants, and after 13 levels of play just 32 remained with RunGood Ambassador Joe Hebda and his stack of 323,000 leading the way. Later in the evening, Day 1c kicked off with 111 more entrants, but by the end of the night only 17 made it through with Adrian Jimenez and his stack of 353,000 leading the way.
Along with Day 1a's 149 entrants – which was lead by RunGood Ambassador Ryan Tepen with 330,000 – the tournament officially attracted 426 entries, which created a prize pool of $251,340 and smashed the $100,000 guarantee. That will be spread amongst the top 45 finishers with the eventual winner taking home $57,806.
Among those still in contention from the Day 1b/1c flights are RunGood Ambassadors Bernard Lee (219,000), Jamie Kerstetter (219,000), Jonathan Gaviao (102,500), Justin Gardenhire (160,000), and Michael Sanders (153,000); Nick Marsh (299,000); Mike Vanier (208,000); and Bob Slezak (170,000).
As for Jimenez, he dominated the later levels on Day 1c first by busting Eric Rodawig, who held kings, with pocket rockets, and then using the same hand to eliminate Isaac Tucker, who held on a king-high flop. Toss in a bit of luck in Level 12, which is when his found a nine on the turn to best Mike Conlan's , and it proved a great day for Jimenez, who will begin Day 2 as the overall chip leader.
Of course not everyone was so lucky. RunGood Ambassador Ross Bybee and three-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Stephen Kats both fired on Day 1b and missed. Neither opted to return on Day 1c, though plenty of other casualties from the earlier flights did. Unfortunately it proved a fruitless endeavor for the likes of RunGood Poker Series Downstream champ Saied Moradi; Wisconsinites Ben Wiora and Josh Reichard; and RunGood Ambassadors Clint Tolbert and Jordan Morgan.

Each table will play one more hand before the final 17 players bag and tag for the night (assuming no one busts in that hand). We're headed out to get counts. Stay tuned for those, a full recap of the day's action, and the Day 2 seatin draw.
Steve Pham opened with a raise — how much we're not sure — and a short-stacked player moved all in from the big blind for 25,000. Pham, who didn't have much more than that, made the call and the cards were turned on their backs.

It was a flip, and Pham was looking to hold. That's just what he did too as the board ran out a clean .

Yashveen Mudireddy jumped out to an early chip lead here on Day 1c, but his stack only dwindled in the latter levels.
In what would be his last hand, Mudireddy got his last 40,000 or so all in preflop and was at risk against Tim Hudson.
Hudson:

The flop paired Mudireddy, but he needed more help to stay alive. The turn didn't do it, and neither did the .

During the break we learned that Nebraska farmer Phil Mader had been eliminated from the tournament. RunGood Ambassador Bernard Lee did the deed and was kind enough to fill us in on the details.
As he told it, Mader raised to 5,300 from middle position and Lee three-bet to 14,300. Mader responded by four-bet shoving all in for roughly 60,000 and Lee snap-called.
"Uh oh, " Mader said before Lee even tabled his . Mader then showed .
The flop gave Mader a gutshot straight draw to go with his one over, but neither would come in as the turn and river both ran out threes. With that, Mader's night came to an end while Lee chipped up to 170,000.

Players are now on their last 15-minute break of the night. When they return they'll play one more 45-minute level before bagging and tagging.
That's what MSPT Wisconsin State Poker Champion Ben Wiora told us as he was exiting the tournament floor.
He then explained he shipped his stack of 40,000 from late position holding the only to have Chris Ybarra wake up with in the big blind. The board ran out clean and it was back to Wisconsin for Wiora, who fired two bullets in this tournament.
