Brunson couldn't catch up to the two pair and was short-stacked to 5,500. Brunson moved all in a few hands later with but his opponent called with and the slight favorite held up. Bruson was eliminated.
With only three matches left before the night ends, things have become quiet. Of the remaining six players, Kevin O'Donnell and Todd Brunson are still alive.
After limping into the hand, both players connected on the flop. Scotty's opponent moved all in and Scotty called with the nut flush. His opponent's two pair didn't complete a full house by the river and Scotty moved on to the money, and Day 2.
After Patrik Antonius limped in the small blind, Wahlroos made it 10,000 to go. Antonius pushed all-in and Wahlroos called. Wahlroos showed and Antonius showed . Wahlroos held the lead, spiked an ace on the river, and advanced to Day 2. The victory was bittersweet, as Antonius and Wahlroos are good friends.
