With Day 2 play concluded and the lineup for the final table decided, the chip counts for the final eight players have now been verified by the WSOP. Michael Rocco moved just ahead of Al Barbieri to become the leader heading into the final, with the complete list as follows:

Elite Eight

Play on Day Two has concluded 22 minutes into level 17. Michael Rocco is our chip leader with 255,000 follow closely by Al "Sugar Bear" Barbieri with 252,500.

In a day that saw many quads and a few straight flushes we have narrowed the field to our final eight entrants, who will vie for the bracelet tomorrow at 3pm PDT.

Last Two Eliminations for the Day

Roy Rose is out in tenth place at the hands of Al Barbieri. He couldn't come up with anything better than a pair of fours against Barbieri's straight to the ten.

Charles Moore was eliminated in ninth place via Levon Torosyan. Moore's kings and tens couldn't stand up to Torosyan's three queens. Each eliminated player will receive $11,441 in prize money.

Kalpakis Doubles

Danny Kalpakis picked a good time for rolled-up aces. Charles Moore started with split jacks and caught a third jack on fourth street. All the money went in on fifth with Kalpakis still in the lead. On sixth, Moore paired threes to make a full house, jacks full of threes. Kalpakis dramatically squeezed the river, and pulled a nine to pair nines and make aces full of nines.

Kalpakis now has about 56,000, while Moore drops into deep trouble at 25,000.

Bryan Devonshire Eliminated in 11th Place ($8,841)

Bryan Devonshire quickly followed Sabyl Landrum out of the Brasilia Room. Behind Al Barbieri's jacks and nines on the river, Devonshire needed a deuce, and only a deuce, to make a wheel and stay alive. He squeezed seventh street and it was clean across, making it a baby, but when he turned it over it was the {3-Hearts}

. He is eliminated.

Sabyl Landrum Eliminated in 12th Place ($8,841)

A spirited run for Sabyl Landrum has come to an end. She started with split queens and got the rest of her chips in on fourth street against Roy Rose. Rose started with buried jacks and caught a third jack on fourth street. Landrum picked up some outs after making kings and queens on fifth street, but never improved beyond that. She earns $8,841.
