Roman Verenko raised from under the gun and Alexander Kostritsyn three-bet from the next seat over. Elie Doft (who took sixth place last year in this event) called from the big blind, Verenko called, and the flop came down .
Action was checked to Kostritsyn who bet. Doft raised, Verenko folded, and Kostritsyn reraised. A call from Doft landed the turn, which he checked. Kostritsyn bet, but again was check-raised by Doft. Kostritsyn called and then called Doft's bet after the river.
Doft tabled for a seven-high straight with the nut low, Kostritsyn mucked, and Doft scooped the pot.
