Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

James Lets It Go

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

In a three-way pot with around 20,000 in the middle, the board was showing {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} when the small blind player bet 13,500. It folded to Jason James on the button who chose to call.

The river revealed a {3-Diamonds} and this time the small blind sent 27,500 in the middle. James thought about it for a few minutes but eventually opted to muck his hand, revealing {k-}{q-}.

Four More Hands

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The tournament's clock has now been paused and tournament officials have announced that four more hands will be played to close out the day.

Massive Chip Leader Pot for Presley

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Terry Presley

On a three-way raised pot, around 21,000 chips were already in the middle.

The flop was showing {k-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} when the player in the small blind checked. Terry Presley, chip leader of the table, with a stack worth around 400,000, bet 15,000 and it was called by the player on the button. The small blind announced all-in for a big stack worth 290,000, putting Presley into deep thinking.

"It would be crazy to lay down this hand," said Presley a few times, before sending a few chips in the middle for the call. The whole table stood up to look at the following showdown after the button folded:

Terry Presley:{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
His opponent: {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Presley had the flush and the straight draw while his opponent held two pair. The {10-Clubs} on the turn brought more outs to Presley and the {5-Hearts} hit the river, giving him the flush to eliminate his opponent and claim a massive chip lead with a stack now around 600,000.

Level 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Scotty "Baby" Nguyen

Scotty Nguyen was spotted late in this one when he raised to 7,000 and everyone at the table folded to him.

At another table, Kitty Kuo moved all-in after four players limped into the pot, including the player under the gun. All four limpers ducked out of the way following Kuo's shove, and she scooped the pot; Kuo now has over 100,000 in chips, putting her in good position to make it to Day 2.
